Kapila river, Nanjangud is 23 km south of
Mysore. The famous Dravidian style
Nanjundeswara temple is the prime attraction. The place takes its name from the temple.
Nanjungud houses a railway station on the meter gauge rail line connecting Mysore to Chamarajanagar.
