A historical town, Mudgal is situated in
Raichur District of
Karnataka. It is around 19 km south of
Lingasugur.
Several inscriptions left by the Yadavas of Devagiri is the major draw here. Mudgal Fort and an ancient Roman Catholic Church, which was built in AD 1557, are the other major interests in the town.
Raichur is around 100 km east. The nearest airport is Hubli Airport. Raichur Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
