Bolar




Bolar is located just 3 km from Mangalore Bus Station, in Dakshina Kannada District, Karnataka. Major point of attraction is the Sri Mangaladevi Temple, a 9th century shrine dedicated to Goddess Mangaladevi. It is believed that Mangalore, earlier known as Mangaluru, was named after the Mangaladevi Temple.

Mangalore Beach, Kudroli - famous for the Sri Gokarnanatheshwara Temple and Ullal are the major tourist attractions around Bolar.

Mangalore Junction Railway Station is the nearest railhead. Mangalore Airport serves Bolar.
