Anantha Chaturdasi




Anantha Chaturdasi festival is celebrated on the 14th day of the bright half of Bhadrapada. On this day there are special puja, at centers of Krishna worship and a sumptuous feast for Brahmins. The festival day is also known as Anantana Vrata. God Anantha Padmanabha is invoked in a pot filled with water and decorated with coconut and flowers. Fourteen varieties of dishes are prepared.
