Malavalli




Malavalli is a historic town located 24 km from Mandya in Karnataka. Numerous trees, hillocks and rivers dotting its terrain add to the scenic bliss. This town was partially ruined by Tipu Sultan himself to prevent its being of use to the British.

This place is an important center for sericulture, a growing industry in Karnataka. Malavalli, a developing town, also has a flourishing leather unit.
