Kodachadri




Kodachadri is the highest peak in Shimoga District of Karnataka. The prime attraction is Sarvajna Peetha which is atop the hill. It is believed to be the spot where Adi Shankaracharya meditated. The best time to visit here is from October to March.

Kodachadri lies in Hosanagara taluk of Shimoga District. Arisinagudi Waterfalls and Agastya Teertha Waterfalls are the points of interest nearby. At a distance of about 20 km is Kollur.
