Kittur

44 km from Belgaum, this tiny town played a significant role in the history of Indian Independence. The Queen Chennamma of Kittur Dynasty bravely fought the battle of independence against the British. This historical place is dotted with ruined forts, ancient palaces, monuments, and statues which are reminders of the glories of a past era. Fort of Chennamma is noteworthy.
