Kapur

Kapur is located in Raichur District, Karnataka. This town, also termed as Koppar, is 14 km east of Deodurg and 15 km north of Masarkal.

It is the place where Someshwara I of Kalyana Chalukyas killed the Chola king Rajadhiraja in AD 1054.

Raichur is around 48 km south-east. Hubli Airport and Raichur Railway Station are the nearest access points.
