Kapila River




Kapila River originates in Wayanad region of Kerala and flows towards west. It joins the Cauvery at Tirumakudalu Narasipur (T.Narasipur) taluk of Mysore District and the Cauvery then meanders through Kollegal taluk and flows towards the Mettur reservoir. On the banks of this river lies Nanjangud, which is famous for the Sreekanteswara Temple located here.
