Manvi




Manvi is a scenic town which entices the visitors by its panoramic landscape and lush greenery. This place, located 35 km southwest of Raichur, is famous for the ancient edicts which are seen in the nearby premises. One among these is an edict of the year 1072, belonging to the period of Mahamandaleswara Dev. The edict describes how Devaraya, the Commander in Chief of Kalyan Chalukya, invaded North Konkan and Central India.

Manvi is reached via Raichur Railway Station. At Hyderabad is the closest airport.
