Bangalore District




Bangalore District is situated in the heart of the south Deccan Plateau in peninsular India with an area of 2,190 sq km. It has a population of more than 3 million. Bajra, pulses, and groundnut are the major crops grown. Bangalore has no major rivers. The Arkavati River flows for a small distance and the Dakshina Pinakini touches the north-east borders. Bangalore, Bannerghatta National Park, Chamrajsagar Reservoir, Magadi, Cubbon Park, Shivaganga pilgrim center, Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum, and Vasanthapura are the important places to visit.
