Dakshina Kashi



Known as Dakshina Kashi, this village is a noted pilgrimage center on the left banks of the river Cauvery. It is nearly 50 km away from the district. The old Hoysala structure, Prasanna Rameshwara Temple, is the most important temple here. The temple of Lakshminarasimha belongs to the period of Chikka Devaraja Wodeyar. There are also temples dedicated to Agasthyeshwara Swamy, Durga Rameshwari, Subramanya Swamy, and Pattabi Ramachandra which are built in the Dravidian style.
