Guledgud




Guledgud is situated in the Bagalkot district of Karnataka.

The prime attraction here is a fort built by Singappa Naik Desai, an officer of Ibrahim Adil Shah II of Bijapur, in the year 1580. The city is also known for its beautiful temples and the darga of Sayyad Basha. Guledgud is renowned for its Cholikhana (cloth manufacture), which is in great demand. The population of Guledgud is dominated by weavers.

Guledgud is linked by road to Badami.
