Dambala, 75 km from Dharwad in Karnataka, is famous for its produce such as grapes ands guavas. This town also takes pride in preserving a few ancient temples with its superb architecture.

Dodda Basappa Temple is the notable among the shrines here. Lord Shiva is the main deity. Built in the Kalyani Chalukya period, this temple has elaborately carved pillars and walls. There is also a famous Buddhist shrine here dedicated to Goddess Taradevi.
