Bylakuppe




Bylakuppe is a small town situated on the National Highway before Kushalnagar. It is one of the largest Tibetan settlements in South India.

At 4 km from here is the Namdroling Monastery and the Sera village is only 2 km away. Buddhist refugee camps at Bylakuppe have prayer halls which houses beautiful 40 ft idols of Buddha and Padmasambhava. Bylakuppe also houses the Tibetan SOS Children's Village. The nearest airport is at Bangalore, 300 km away. Mysore is 85 km away.
