A Festival of Karnataka



Nagarpanchami is a well-known festival of South Karnataka. It is celebrated on the 5th day in the lunar month of Shravan. During this festival, people worship snakes and offer milk to them. On this day swings are put up in the village and people enjoy themselves. The married girls visit their parents during this occasion. This festival is usually celebrated by the people of Bunt community.
