Vada




Vada, a characteristic food item of South India, is a very popular snack in south India. It is mainly of two types, Uzhunnu vada and Parippu vada. Uzhunnu vada, resembling a doughnut or a ring, is made from ground black gram. It is served with sambar and chutney for side dish. Parippu vada is circular in shape and prepared by deep frying ground pulses / dal / parippu in coconut oil.
