Ranchi Lake

Ranchi Lake is situated at the base of Ranchi Hill in Ranchi District of Jharkhand. It was excavated by Colonel Onsely, a British agent, in 1842. The Ranchi Hill provides a magnificent view of Ranchi town, and there is a temple devoted to Lord Shiva on the top.

The lake offers excellent boating facilities to the visitors. It is adjacent to Ranchi Telephone Exchange and is also close to GPO.
