Kanhaiyasthan

Kanhaiyasthan is a beautiful village situated on the banks of the Ganges River in Sahibganj District, Jharkhand. It is about 13 km north-west of Rajmahal.

The main attraction of the village is the Kanhaiya Temple, dedicated to Krishna, from which it derived its name. Mangalhat, Rajmahal (13 km), Teliagarhi and Sahibganj are excellent picnic spots outside the village.

It is believed that once Chaitanya Mahaprabhu stayed here and got the vision of Lord Krishna. The footstep of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is also conserved here.
