Katihar District




Katihar is one of the important districts in Bihar. It covers an area of 3,057 sq km and has a population of over 1.8 million. The town of Katihar is the headquarters. Paddy is the main crop. The Mahananda and Ganges are the main rivers traversing Katihar District. A number of jute and paper mills are also present.
