Madhupur




Madhupur is a small town located in Deoghar District, Jharkhand. It is situated 26 km south of Deoghar.

Though it cannot boast the thick sal and mahua forests it had in the past, the sweet water of its meandering streams and the ever venerating cooling breeze that fills the air is still a panacea for the group picnicker.

Excursions to Deoghar Archaeological Museum, Chandrakoopa Well, Harila Joria and Sivaganga Lake will be an enchanting experience.

Best time to visit the place is from March to October.

The nearest airport is at Ranchi, 130 km north-west. Madhupur Junction Railway Station is one of the prominent stations of the Eastern Railways. By road, Madhupur is linked with Giridih, Dumka, Mohanpur, Jasidih, Pakaur, Godda, and Deoghar.
