Narsinghsthan




Narsinghsthan is a temple located 5 km south-west of Hazaribagh, near the village of Khaparia. This shrine is dedicated to Lord Narasimha, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu.

It is believed that the jade black idol installed at the temple was brought from Nepal in the 16th century by Damodar Mishra, a renowned musician and a contemporary of Tulsidas.

Hazaribagh Road Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
