Usman Memorial is a historical monument at Jhangar in
Rajouri District of
Jammu and Kashmir.
It was constructed in memory of Brig. Usman, who was mainly responsible for releasing the captured area around Jhangar. The Infantry Unit located at Jhangar maintained this great memorial.
The heroic deeds of army men and civilians, who died while fighting in this area, are commemorated every year on the 3rd July as 'Jhangar Day'. Brig. Usman also fell to heavy shelling of the enemy on the same day in 1948.
