Parihasapura is located at about 14 miles away from
Srinagar on the Baramulla route in
Jammu and Kashmir. It was the erstwhile capital city of the King Lalitaditya during the 8th century. This plateau is studded with heaps of ruins in which the important ones are the
Buddhist structures. There are also a monastery, a stupa and a chaitya in this area. Some of the remains of the stupa are now preserved in the Srinagar museum.
Parihasapura can be accessed by road from Srinagar. The nearest airport is Srinagar Airport.
