Set at an elevation of about 4,891m above sea level, Tanze is a beautiful village in Leh District of Jammu and Kashmir. It is about 22 km from Yaytah.
Tetha in the west, Katge Lato in the north, Mone Leh in the east and Kurgiakh in the south are the neighboring places connecting Tanze. Phuktal Monastery is within a short distance from here.
Tanze can be reached via Phitse La Base, towards the route to Tetha.
