Safa Kadal

One of the nine bridges in Srinagar, Safa Kadal is built over the river Jhelum. This is the seventh bridge in this category. Though a new concrete bridge has built, this old one stands testifying the durability of the old Kashmiri architecture.

There is an old Yarkand Sarai, a travelers resting place where the traders used to stay in the ancient past, near the Safa Kadal. Just past this bridge, there is a Jhelum weir. Hari Parbat Fort is between the Ali Kadal and Safa Kadal. Nearby stands the mosque of Bulbul Shah, a renowned mystic and poet of the Kashmir Valley.
