Shopian Jama Masjid




Shopian Jama Masjid is an ancient mosque situated at Shopian in Pulwama District. This splendidly set mosque is believed to have been built during the Mughal period.

The mosques at Awantipora and Pampore are two important shrines located nearby. The shrines of Syed Hussan Mantaqui, Shah Hamdan and Namat Ullah Shog Baba Sahab are also worth visiting.

Shopian is an important stopover on the Mughal Road, located about 55 km south of Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir.
