Rangdum Pass




Rangdum Pass, at an altitude of about 3700 m, is in Kargil District of Jammu and Kashmir. From the base of the Rusi La Pass, a southward diversion leads to this pass. The Karste River rises from the Rangdum Pass. The Pass is also important for trekking and offers challenging treks. Henaskut near Lamayuru is the most popular trekking base from here. The famous monastery, Rangdum Gompa is near the pass. One can enjoy the magnificent views of the Nun and Kun massifs, hanging glaciers and large meadows.
