Dhanidhar Fort Rajouri

Dhannidhar Fort in Rajouri was constructed in 1855 during the period of Mian Hathu, the then Governor of Rajouri. The remains of the buildings which belonged to Jaral Rajas were used to build this fort.

The fort was intended to keep Dogra forces at bay. The whole valley of Rajouri can be viewed from here. Earlier, this fort was used by the defense and to dump the grain which was collected from the farmers as a form of revenue.
