Kyangchhu Thang

Morey Plain, also known as Kyangchhu Thang, is a vast plateau located about 18 km from Pang in Leh District. This plain is flanked by the high and mighty Himalayas on both sides. It is about 15,000 ft above sea level. Black tents made of Yak's hair, belonging to the nomads, can be seen in this place. One can reach Tso Moriri through the Morey Plain. From Morey Plain a bifurcating bridle path on the right hand leads to Lhasa. The Leh - Manali highway extends through Morey Plain for 33 km.
