Thiksey Festival is a two-day festival celebrated at Thiksey Monastery, which is 20 km from
Leh, in
Jammu and Kashmir.
The unique feature of this festival is the trade fair held at the base of the monastery. People from all over the village come here to eat, drink, play cards and barter trade items. All kinds of tea stalls, sweet shops and refreshment stands are spotted on the way that leads up to the monastery.
