Gabba




Gabba is a famous variety of floor covering originating from Jammu and Kashmir. Old wool materials are used in the making of these floor coverings. The main center of manufacture is the Anantnag District. A special variety of gabba using color prints is made in the Baramulla District. A variety of color is used for giving the old cloth materials a new look. This printed gabba is ideal for table and furniture covering.

The gabba industry is an important cottage industry in Jammu and Kashmir.
