Basantgarh




Basantgarh is a small village in Udhampur District of Jammu and Kashmir. Located about 6,643 ft above sea level, it is about 20 km from Ramnagar.

Basantgarh is flanked by Chapar in the west and Dudu in the east. The northern and southern parts are covered by Kaplas and Bilaur respectively. Visitors can opt to walk along the trails of shepherds and goats, or stay to view the beauty of the mountains and the terraced fields.

Basantgarh can be approached from Ramkote, Dhaggar and Bhaddu. The nearest railhead is Udhampur Railway Station.
