Thirot




Thirot is a small town on the Udaipur-Sumdo road, in Lahaul and Spiti District of Himachal Pradesh. It is around 8 km east of Hinsa and 13 km west of Rashil. The district headquarters, Keylang, is around 25 km to the south-east. Triloknath, noted for an ancient hilltop shrine, is around 8 km east. Other sites worth visiting around include Shashur Monastery, Ramjak Peak, Tayul Monastery, Suraj Tal Lake, Ramjak Peak, Gepang Goh Peak, Mulkila Peak and Chandra Tal. Major access points are Kullu Manali Airport and Joginder Nagar Railway Station.
