Positioned at the confluence of Chandra and Bhaga rivers, Tandi is a charming place in Lahaul and Spiti District of Himachal Pradesh. According to the legend, Chandra and Bhaga were in love with each other. Chandra was daughter of the Moon and Bhaga was the son of Sun god. To perform eternal marriage, Chandra and Bhaga decided to go up to the Baralacha La and from there they ran in opposite directions. Chandra and Bhaga met each other at Tandi, where they performed their celestial marriage.
