Sipur

Sipur, situated 12 km from Shimla, is an exquisite glade shaded by centuries old Deodar trees, which give it a unique character. The pleasant weather, its picturesque landscape and the gush of tiny brooks that slither through the rich grass covering the slopes beckons any nature-loving picnicker.

Major attraction here is the temple of Sipur, which is noted for the unique vernacular temple architecture. An annual fair held in Sipur on the second Sunday of April draws a large number of people. A stroll to the nearby village Deothi through the woods will be an enchanting experience for a naturalist.
