Sangla Kanda




Sangla Kanda is a picturesque hamlet situated about eight km from Sangla in Kinnaur District, Himachal Pradesh. It lies at an elevation of 3,800 m, on the Shibaling Pass trek route in the Baspa Valley (Sangla Valley.) Surrounded by lush green forests, the village commands views of snow-capped peaks and deep valleys all around. Kanda Lake is the prime attraction. Nearby tourist destinations include Mupa, Charang, Chitkul, Wangtoo, Tranda, Chaurah, Nigul, Karchham and Nichar. Sangla Kanda is an ideal base for trekking and mountaineering. Base camps are available. The nearest railway station and airport are at Shimla. Sangla Kanda can be accessed from Sarahan.
