Chhota Shigri Glacier




Chhota Shigri Glacier lies on the Chandra - Bhaga river basin in Lahaul - Spiti Valley of Himachal Pradesh. It is located, at varying altitudes of 4,100 to 6,000 m, on the northern ridge of Pir Panjal range. It drains into the River Chandra. The total drainage area of the glacier basin is about 45 sq km. It offers enchanting views of snow clad mountains all around. Sara Umga Pass, Bara Shigri Glacier, Chhota Dara, Rohtang Pass and Chhatru are located nearby. It is an ideal base for trekking. Kullu Manali Airport at Bhuntar is the nearest airport. Chandigarh Railway Station and Joginder Nagar Railway Station are the nearest railway stations.
