Goddess Gayatri




Goddess Gayatri, the embodiment of Gayatri Mantra, is considered as the ‘Veda-Mata’ or the Mother of all Vedas . She is often portrayed with five heads and seated within a lotus holding all the ten weapons of Lord Vishnu in her ten hands. Of the five, four heads represent the four Vedasand the fifth represents the Supreme God. Gayatri is widely worshiped in North India, and is considered a consort of Lord Brahma.
