Mane Monastery




Mane Monastery is situated at Mane in Lahaul and Spiti District, Himachal Pradesh. It was built in the 14th century. The monastery has some ancient paintings and impressive statues of Avalokitesvara and Sakyamuni (Gautama Buddha). It is the venue of the famous Tsheshu Fair, which is held every year in June.

Nearby tourist destinations include Manirang Pass, Kurith, Tabo Monastery, Poh, Lalung, Dhankar, Sichling, Gunsarang Pass and Lingti.

Kullu Manali Airport at Bhuntar is the nearest airport. The nearest main railway stations are Shimla Railway Station and Joginder Nagar Railway Station.
