Mandi

Mandi is a small village located about 20 km north-east of Poonch, the administrative headquarters of Poonch District.

The village is in a narrow valley, situated near the confluence of two streams namely the Gagri and the Pulsta. It is surrounded by the steep and grassy hills of no great elevation. People in this village speak Kashmiri.

Due to cool weather and closeness to the town, Mandi is one of the important tourist spot in Jammu and Kashmir. A famous shrine, the Mandir Swami Budha Amar Nath Ji, situated here is a prime attraction.
