Hadimba Temple




Hadimba Temple, also known as Dhoongri Temple, is an ancient temple situated in Manali, Himachal Pradesh. Built in 1533, the temple is dedicated to Goddess Hidimba – the wife of Bhim. The temple enshrines the small black image of the Devi. The imprinted footprints on a black rock are believed to be the footprints of the goddess.

This historically and archeologically famous temple has a 27 m high four-tiered Pagoda like roof and the entrance is exquisitely carved with mythological shapes and symbols.

The annual festival held in May is a major draw.
