Mahasu Jatar




Mahasu Jatar is celebrated near Mahasu, about 6 km from Shimla-Kotkhai Road, in Shimla District of Himachal Pradesh. It is a two day event organized on the 3rd Tuesday in the month of Baisakh (May). This ancient fair held in front of the Durga Devi Temple attracts large number of people from far and near.

Folk songs and Natti dances are performed during the fair. The highly competed archery game is the center of attraction. A goat is sacrificed at the end of the fair.
