Parang Pass

Parang Pass (Parang La), situated at an altitude of 5,580 m above sea level, connects the Spiti Valley with other parts of Ladakh. The Parilungbi River flows on the Spitian side of the pass and the track runs on its side. There is a glacier about 3 km north-east of this pass. There are a number of crevasses, which make it difficult to cross.

Takling Pass lies on the same axis of the Parang Pass.
