Karsog Mamaleshwar Temple




Mamaleshwar Temple is a holy place located at Karsog, 13 km from Chindi in Mandi District of Himachal Pradesh. The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Shiva. Tradition recounts that this temple was built by the Pandavas during their period of exile.

This temple is famed for its massive carved wooden pillars, artistic woodwork and carved stone statues of deities. The major attractions of the temple are a single grain of wheat weighing about 250 gm and a temple drum measuring about 6 ft in length.

Kullu Manali Airport and Joginder Nagar Railway Station are the nearest access points.
