Damtal

Located in the western end of Kangra District, Damtal serves as the gateway to Himachal Pradesh. It is a major industrial town and is around 10 km south of Pathankot, on the Punjab-Himachal Pradesh border.

Prime attractions are the ancient temples of Shri Gupeshwara Mahadev and Shri Ram Gopal. There is a monastery which houses beautiful Mughal style paintings, depicting legends of Lord Ram, Shiva, Krishna and other deities.

The town is linked with Nurpur and Pathankot by road. Gaggal Airport and Pathankot Railway Station are the nearest airport and railway station respectively.
