Devi Dehra is a highly revered shrine situated in a wooded valley, about 15 km from Dalhousie
in Chamba District
of Himachal Pradesh
. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Jalapa Mata. Literally, the words ‘Devi’ and ‘Dehra’ stand for ‘goddess’ and ‘temple’ respectively. Annually a fair, known widely as Devi Dehra Fair, is celebrated with great pomp and grandeur.
