Devi Dehra Temple




Devi Dehra is a highly revered shrine situated in a wooded valley, about 15 km from Dalhousie in Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Jalapa Mata. Literally, the words ‘Devi’ and ‘Dehra’ stand for ‘goddess’ and ‘temple’ respectively. Annually a fair, known widely as Devi Dehra Fair, is celebrated with great pomp and grandeur. Devi Dehra Rock Garden and waterfalls are situated nearby.

Dalhousie is a scenic British-built hill station, linked to nearby cities and towns by road. The nearest railway station is at Pathankot, and airport at Kangra.
