Tasha




Tasha is a traditional drum of Punjab. It is forms a part of the music band accompanying a wedding procession.

Tasha is a double-headed drum and its body is made of metal. It features a raw uncoated hide which produces a sharp sound. To perform with this drum, the player hangs it on his shoulder and beats on one side with sticks. Usually the rhythm contains a military tune.
