Saraswati Plantation Wildlife Sanctuary

Saraswati Plantation Wildlife Sanctuary, spread over an area of 44 sq km, is a good location for birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts in Haryana. It is about 10 km from Pehowa.

The sanctuary extends in the districts of Kurukshetra and Kaithal. In 1988, it was established with the aim to safe guard wildlife in the area. Dense forest, water ponds, woodlands, grasslands and water-streams make it an ideal picnic spot.

The wildlife sanctuary is a habitat for blue peafowl, rufous treepie and greater coucal. It also protects wild boar, neelgai, geedar, langur and rhesus macaque.
