Dhosi Hill

Dhosi Hill is one of the most revered pilgrim spots of Haryana. This sacred place is located between the villages of Thana and Kultajpur. It is believed that Sage Chavan, the founder of the Bhargava community, did penance on this hill. Chavanprash, a popular herb used in traditional Indian medicine, grows on this hill. Temples dedicated to Sage Chavan and his wife Sukanya, Lord Shiva and Suraj Kund, a tank dedicated to Surya, are the main attractions here. In the main temple of Sage Chavan, one can also see an idol of Lord Vishnu in reclining posture. Pilgrims have to climb up 457 stairs to reach the hilltop.
